Step and Think Pink's bone marrow drive for Stepper Leslie Roberts was a great success.  They had good Steppers music blowing, and delicious turkey meatballs to curb your appetite.  The process was really simple; basically, you come in and they ask you a few health questions, you fill out the national bone marrow registry form, and you swab the inside of each cheek two times.  You are then given a number and shortly thereafter placed on the registry.  I believe the process takes 1 to 3 months.

Dre had one day to plan his Birthday / Christmas Party on Christmas Eve of 2008, but it turned out really nice.  It felt like old times, as DJ Cross, Dre and Company's resident DJ for over 10 years was on the 1's and 2's dropping the hits.  Both Dre and Lynessa had birthday lines that didn't end.  What I intended on being a 30 minute stop, turned in to 4 hours.  I bumped in to Lil' Darren Ulmer, who introduced me to his wife.  They looked good as she sported a white and black houndstooth jacket and he wore the matching hat.  Darren said, "T.

I travelled out west recently for my homey Akkeem "The Dream" Berry's birthday party at the Rose Banquets.  Akkeem, also the founder of Saving Our Sons, Inc., a nonprofit organization aimed at helping youngsters navigate through violence, crime, and more, always attaches a purpose to his gatherings.  This particular evening Akkeem, accompanied by his wife Denise Berry, treated guests to a full buffett, a James Brown impersonator, spoken word, and a pantomime performance where he took the lead on performing Joe Love's "Ghetto."

Big Jeff has to be one of the most underrated DJ's in the entire Steppin' game.  Although he's been holding down the 50 Yard Line for a decade or more, Jeff is rarely mentioned on anybody's top 10 DJ's list.  Jeff and Calvin are the 50's 1, 2 punch and Jeff admits that sometimes he suffers for "playing for the people."  Jeff is beloved by his fellow steppers, because unlike a number of DJ's, he'll spin almost any Steppers song that his audience requests.  Luckily, the 50 is usually full of good dancers who know what to ask for ...

It looks like we just found another Temp.  We already have Tall Rick as Leon, and my buddy and fellow stepper Lawrence Parker is going to fill in for Charles Malik Whitfield (Otis Williams).  I can't tell you the trouble I went through to get a picture of Otis with his curl and mustache in the movie.  Well, I guess I can ... Andre Blackwell of Dre and Company reached out ChiStepper to invite the Steppin' community to participate in a mini birthday celebration in his honor at Mr. G' this Wednesday, December 24th from 9pm until.  The cost of admission is $5, however for those who purchase the $15 Steppers class from 7pm to 9pm, admission is free.
