3 Deep Productions Review
By Gina Gardner

As stated before, it is hard to objectively review your own function. In this rare case, I have allowed my best friend and assistant, Gina Gardner, to provide the review for this wonderful party, with a few footnotes from me, Crystal Fuller.

3Deep Productions hosted their quarterly steppers set on September 26th, at their usual venue, Burbank Manor in Burbank, Il. Clad in royal blue, the members were dressed to the nines. JR, Kirk and Nate in blue suits with white vests, first lady Nicole wore a long silk evening gown as she greeted and welcomed guests and club sweetheart Crystal, who always makes a grand entrance, was radiant in her mid-length sexy, slinky, royal blue back out dress.

In the aftermath from all the hustle and bustle of the WLSC weekend, some steppers were worn out and drained, but not all. After a light start, the group pulled in a nice size crowd. Among them were two WLSC 2008 judges, Dre (Andre Blackwell) and Hope, and some contestants, Sunshine (Shine Entertainment), Tee Tee (Tanya), Darren and Ken Hillard. Also in attendance was Big AL from LA who has recently chosen to make this windy city his new home. Big thumbs up to DJ Calvin who was on the 1's and 2's doing his thang, keeping us on the floor all night. He decided not to play tons of the slide songs and gave the audience the privilege of picking which ONE they wanted to hear. I thought that was an excellent choice and showed a different character for a DJ, kudos DJ Calvin.

Then came the famous intermission routine from the gentleman of the group to Robin Thicke's "Magic Touch" and sweetheart Crystal's strut to "Bump like that" by Kelly Rowland ... it fit her signature walk well. A huge applaud from the crowd showed appreciation for their beautifully displayed performance.

The party ended at 2am with Dre and Sunshine still on the floor getting their step on. Being a former Dre student, I still don't know where he gets the energy from. He danced with 6 or more beautiful ladies at one time and I will find out what that is called because he went way past a trio.

As we departed, some African American art work displayed at the door. There were at least 3 pictures that I know I want. Bryant Harris of Wee Jam Enterprise was the vendor and gave me a flyer to come out to the swap-o-rama in Alsip, Il, take my time and take home as many as I choose. At those affordable prices, I'll be sure to get out there.

As for the party, two words sum it up ... splendid and magnificent. It was another GREAT 3Deep Production.

Dave Maxx gives the keys to "Walking." According to Maxx, "Steppin' is from the Torso down, Walking is from the Torso up. The woman's butt should lead her backwards when she receives the push from the male lead."
