Blast From The Past: Exclusive Interview w/ Ya hir Pt. 2
I spoke with Ya hir again a couple of days after he had the opportunity to digest the feedback from the first article. Despite what many think, he was not angry nor was he loud. He was very reserved and calm in expressing his point-of-view with ChiStepper.
Tracey: Okay Ya hir I thought you said everything that was on your mind when we last spoke. What has got you all fired up now?

Blast From The Past: Exclusive Interview w/ K' Jon
K Jon is one of those artists that only come around every couple of years. This Detroit native has released what is currently the number one steppin' song in the country right now, “On the Ocean.” ChiStepper recently sat down with K Jon to discuss his success in the recording industry and the dance communities.
Tracey: K Jon, it is a real pleasure to finally be able to sit down and find out some information about your music career and what drives you. “On the Ocean” is definitely a hit with the ladies. Is that title a metaphor for something?

Blast From The Past: Exclusive Interview w/ John "Jr. Stepper" Jenkins
They say that out of the mouths of babes comes wisdom. Well, what comes out of their feet? Fourteen year old stepper, John Jenkins, from North Carolina knows. This very courteous young man is making a name for himself and his dance all over the country and has no plans on stopping anytime soon. Chistepper took the time to talk to John about the dance and his recent accomplishments.
Tracey: Hey John, thanks for taking the time out of your school work to talk to Chistepper. How long have you been steppin' and what got you interested in it?

Blast From The Past: Ya hir Blasts the "New Jacks" Pt. 1
The stepping community has permanent fixtures in its society. First of all, you have the steppers and the steppin’ organizations. Second, you have the DJ's. Third, you have the venues and last, you have the “Ya hirs” (aka CD Tracy, aka YBY Productions). After a couple years of sitting back and hearing about ChiStepper commentaries and forum comments, Ya hir (pronounced yah-ear) insisted on giving some members of the Chicago steppin’ community a tongue lashing about the misrepresentation of the dance.

Blast From The Past: Exclusive Interview w/ Original Master Stepper Cynthia Shanks
There have only been two Master's Categories of the World's Largest Steppers Contest. The Master's Category was designed for the sole purpose of having the best compete against the best. Cynthia Shanks and her partner Greg won the very first one, and Maurice Turner and Tina Moore won the second one. Cynthia, like of a number of Old Skoolers, is interested in bridging the gap between the older and younger generations of Steppers. In this in depth interview with T. Pratt, you are going to see how.
