Eve gets out of the car and slams the door. She begins walking home undaunted by Mike’s behavior. She’s so used to men disrespecting her that at this point it really doesn’t matter. The one main thing that she wanted to accomplish was to piss Candi off, and now that she did it, she knew that eventually everything else would work out.

Back at the club

Sparkle: That was some shit!

Red: Hell yeah! I aint know Candi was gangster like that!

Sparkle: I didn’t either. She beat that girl ass!

Candi lays her head back in Jabari’s chest and silently sobs a little. Jabari doesn’t say anything, because there is nothing to say. He just slowly rocks her and decides at that moment that he will hold her for as long as she needs him to...

After Mike leaves, Jabari, Red, and Sparkle encourage the crowd to get back to Steppin’.  Although everyone is still in shock and gossiping about what just happened, they can’t resist the need to get back to dancing, thanks to the magical DJ powers of veteran DJ Steve “Breeze” Brewer.

Jabari takes Candi to his office for a while as he notices that she is still a little shaken.

After a real life version of "On The Set" yesterday, and two weeks worth of intense interviews, there is no better time than to sneak in an episode of Mz Nicole's "On The Set."  We'll resume with more interviews and rhetoric next week.  In the mean time, we have some catching up to do.

[Recap] Mike and Eve are pulling into the parking lot. Eve has a special glow on her face because she knows that Mike has priority front parking and that everyone is going to see them pull up together. For extra effect, before he arrived she pretended to sprain her wrist and even wrapped her hand with gauze before he picked her up, so that he would have to open her door and help her out of the car. She knew that it would only take one person to see that, and that then it would get back to Candi, and really make Candi jealous.

Red walks in and the women pause. He has a cool quiet swagger that many of the women find hard to resist. If there are 200 women in the club, Red has slept with at least a 150 of them. They all run to hug and greet him; he grants them all a arrogant nonchalant neutral hug, and moves thru the room as if he owns it. He scans the room for a new face. He spots one and makes a mental note to make her his victim tonight. He laughs to himself as he thinks of all the enemies that he has created amongst women.

Later on that night
Sparkle and Eve have just made it to the club. Candi is nervous about coming since Mike had practically forbid her from going out, but she is curious about Sparkle’s suspicions.

Eve is tickled pink about Mike picking her up and bringing her to the club with him. She put a lot of effort into being sexy for him, and can only hope that it pays off.  She has even gone as far as to attempt to style her hair and makeup in the same way that she thought Candi would.

After hanging up the phone, Eve is delighted that she will actually walk in the set arm in arm with Mike. She knows that the gossip mill will start turning as soon as they walk in.  

Eve: (Talking aloud) I just hope that enough people see me get out of the car and walk in with him. I can’t wait for Candi to find out about it. (Giggling) I wonder if there is away that I can ensure that she’ll show up anyway…

Eve picks up the phone to call Sparkle.

Sparkle: Hello

Episode Recap
Eve called Mike and totally spun the confrontation between her and Candi completely around. Eve led Mike to believe that Candi flipped out on her for no reason and that Candi maybe a liability for him on the set.

Sparkle is glowing with pride as she realizes that soon she’ll have Jabari eating out of the palm of her hand. She thinks long and hard about her strategy to discreetly disrupt the business relationship of Jabari and Mike in order to solidify a place for her ambitions to grow. What she needed to know was all of the inner workings of the business, and she knew that the best source of support for a man’s business was his woman. Sparkle had to get Candi to trust her enough to spill Mike’s secrets to her. She picks up her phone and dials Candi’s number.
